Intermediate memoir

Instructor(s): Renée Schuls-Jacobson
Location: WAB – 740 University Ave.

Dates: September 27 – December 6
This class is for those who have already started exploring their personal essays. Students will engage in an ongoing discussion of craft and technique, and work on the polishing and editing of their writing. If you are a more experienced writer, this class will allow you to receive critical feedback on your writing while further developing your technique to tell your story. There will be a special final reading that will be held on December 8.

To enroll in the class, students must have previously taken an Introduction to Memoir class. If you have not taken the Introduction class, but are interested in taking the Intermediate class, you must submit a sample of writing before enrolling. Please contact the Director of Adult Programs Albert Abonado ( for more information.

If you would like to make a request for any accommodation, please email us at at least 10 days prior to the event or workshop.
