Allegory, allusion, aphorism, euphemism, metaphor, simile, denotation, didactic, epigram, motif, person. Do you know your literary devices? Do you know how to use these techniques in your own writing? This workshop will study the meaning and uses of common literary terms, ending with each student writing their own example. We will cover as many as possible in our sessions. Students may submit topic/terms they would like to see covered. This class runs July 30 – August 20.
