Are you a poet longing to relate yours/your family’s personal history? Learn about memoir, how lyric narrative poetry is an excellent vehicle for truth-telling, emotional intensity, and creative use of chronology and structure. Learn stylistic devices for sustaining narrative voice, point of view, and more. Discuss fear of others’ reactions to the work. Do writing exercises from mementoes you bring. Leave with a focused sense of a pathway forward.
