The day poem is a simple way to develop the poetic mind, to connect with the world around you (in more ways than one), and to write every day. They are short, they are sweet, and they can inspire you to write more and more frequently. The beginning of fall is the perfect time to start a practice of writing day poems. In this workshop, we will read and discuss examples from other poets and, after taking a walk in the neighborhood for inspiration, will write and share our own day poems.
