This year’s “If All of Rochester Read the Same Book…” selection explores personal isolation and communal survival, focusing on how we can triumph over adversity by working together as families, neighbors, and friends. It also plays with the power of stories—both true-to-life and fictional—and highlights the important roles narratives play in our own lives. Join us for a 3-week in-depth discussion of this year’s program selection The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey in advance of her visit to Rochester. We will discuss setting, characters, plot, writing style, structure, origin and more. Additional resources (and refreshments) will be provided.
