Writing the Short Screenplay is for those who always wanted to turn their ideas into a short film screenplay and for those who want to learn about the basics of screenwriting. At the end of the class you will have written a complete screenplay for a 10-15 minute film and you will have been thoroughly introduced to the fundamentals of screenwriting. Some of the core concepts discussed will be key dramatic principles, the importance of conflict, creating a character, and engaging an audience. Some of the questions answered in this class: How are short films different from feature films? How does a script need to look so that I can submit it? Film examples will be used to demonstrate the most important principles. You need to bring a desire to write and to help others do the same.
