Screening of the documentary A Place to Stand (2014, 86 minutes, NR), followed by roundtable discussion

 

March 22 screening of A Place to Stand. Round table participants: Patricia Roth Schwartz, poet, writer of fiction, short plays, and creative non-fiction, lives in the Finger Lakes. She volunteered for 14 years inside Auburn Correctional Facility in Auburn, New York, facilitating a weekly poetry workshop with inmates, and helping them publish four books. Dwain Wilder is a poet, editor, essayist and Zen Buddhist. He has taught meditation for inmates of Attica for the past seven years.
