Becky Fine-Firesheets

Becky Fine-Firesheets’s work has been published in Mutha Magazine, Lumen Magazine, Serving House Journal, Portal del Sol, and The Northeast Performer, among others, and her short story, The Roof, was nominated for a 2014 Best of the Net Award. Becky created and ran her own online music zine, Knocks From the Underground, for over five years, which received hundreds of views per day and involved writing, editing, and managing a staff of ten writers, among other tasks. In addition to writing, Becky plays keys and sings in rock-n-roll/poetry band The Brooklyn Players Reading Society, teaches ESOL at Kingsborough Community College, and runs a menagerie out of her Brooklyn apartment featuring the toddler Lew, two awesome dogs, and one super sweet cat.
