Matt Conn spent the better part of my childhood playing drums and trying to improve local jingles. In 1994, after it was clear a record deal wasn’t imminent, Matt graduated with a Masters of Arts in Creative Writing from Emerson College in Boston, MA. Defeated by a non-recession-proof Boston job market, he returned to Upstate NY and began to make his mark on the creative community. Today, after 15 years on the creative side of advertising, Matt has sold just about everything. Film. Chocolate milk. Health care. Financial services. Even the value of getting an MBA from a school known for technology. His philosophy: reward people for spending time with your advertising and they’ll spend money on your brand. Matt has been an adjunct professor of advertising at St. John Fisher College. He also performs regularly as a drummer and guitar player, and is a voice actor for various commercials and videos.
