Saby Reyes-Kulkarni has over a decade’s experience as a freelance journalist, and has conducted hundreds of hours worth of interviews on a vast range of topics with people from a dizzying variety of backgrounds. He continues to craft an incisive, entertaining interview style both in terms of preparation and asking the actual questions. He likes to think of an interview as a cross between pitching a baseball game and cross-examining a witness — only in a way that the interview subject feels good about. He also thinks anyone can conduct an interview on any topic given the right approach to preparation. He has written for MTV Iggy, Spin, Paste, Alarm, Nashville Scene, several papers throughout the New Times/Village Voice chain, and locally for City Newspaper, Lake Affect, and Metropolitan. He currently hosts the monthly Writers & Books interview podcast.
