Tricia Asklar received her MFA from UMass Amherst and teaches writing at Stonehill College. Her poems have appeared in The Bakery, Big River Poetry Review, Boxcar Poetry Review, Cold Mountain Review, juked, Neon, Poet Lore, Red Wheelbarrow, Sinister Wisdom, Tupelo Quarterly, Verse Daily and Weave, among other publications. Recently, her work was nominated for Independent Best American Poetry and selected for the anthologies ARTLines2: Art Becomes Poetry (Public Poetry) and My Cruel Invention (Meerkat Press). In addition, Moon City Press named Asklar’s full-length manuscript a finalist for its 2015 poetry award. In December, Asklar honed her second manuscript during a residency at Vermont Studio Center.
