Walls' individual poems have been published in The Nation, The Ohio Review, Salt Hill, Epoch, The Gettysburg Review, Boulevard, Five Points, Kestrel, Blackbird, Commonweal, Beloit Poetry Journal, and elsewhere. Walls’ other awards include a 1998 The Nation/"Discovery" prize, a Breadloaf Writers Conference scholarship, and two community arts grants from the Syracuse Cultural Resources Council. He is on the faculty of the Syracuse Writer’s Voice program, part of the Syracuse YMCA Y Arts curriculum. Born in Brighton, England, Walls now lives in Baldwinsville, New York with his wife, Christine, and son Alexander.
