Instructor Bios
David White
David White holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Cornell University and teaches at St. John Fisher College. His main area of research is Bishop Butler, and his new edition of the Works of Bishop Butler was published last year by the University of Rochester Press. A past president of the New York State Philosophical Association, White has been an organizer of Philosophy Day at UNESCO on the Fisher campus for the past four years. he maintains a website dedicated to Bishop Butler Studies, and hosts the Bertrand Russell Society meetings at Writers & Books where he has taught classes on Sherlock Holmes, Moby Dick, and Inherit the Wind.
