From the NOTA Website:
“The Neighborhood of the Arts Business Association is chartered with the City of Rochester through the Office of Neighborhood Development.
NOTABA is a collective voice for the diverse businesses located in Rochester’s Historic Neighborhood of the Arts. Our purpose is to help NOTA grow into a vibrant commercial arts district, distinguished by the neighborhood’s unique character. NOTABA brings business owners together to talk, learn, and collaborate. It also provides a critical link to the resources and offices of the City of Rochester.”
Writers & Books is a proud member of NOTA. For more information, visit their website at http://notaba.org/
Along with many NOTA organizations, Writers & Books is a venue for First Friday – and has participated since its inception. On the first Friday of each month, Writers & Books will be open to the public from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., offering food and drink, literary conversation, and various themed activities. Past attractions have included performances by local bands, author visits, book sales, and scavenger hunts. Every First Friday starting at 7:00 p.m., Writers & Books also hosts Wide Open Mic with Norm Davis, the longest-running open mic night in Rochester. Please visit our events page for more information on upcoming First Friday events or visit the First Friday website.
