Spring 2008 Workshops at Writers & Books

Salons

Open History Reading Group

Third Thursday of each month, 7-8:30 p.m.
Free to W&B members, $3 general public
Facilitator: Steve Huff

Join us for meetings of an open history-reading group. In these gatherings we choose historical topics rather than specific books, and then you choose a book on the subject that most interests you. The discussions are convivial, exciting, and informative.

WRITING AEROBICS

WA8-C07
8 Saturdays 10 –12 a.m.
$99 W&B members / $129 general public or
$20 per session W&B members/$25 per session general public

Yes! Writing Aerobics is the best workout in town. It may even burn a few calories. But it’s not like running on the treadmill or sweating it out on the stationary bike. Instead, the emphasis is on impromptu writing exercises and heart-pounding spontaneity. It’s non-competitive. Work at your own spontaneous pace, learn to tap into your creative subconscious, and write with the ease that comes only with practice at pumping the brain muscles. Sign up for individual sessions, or save by signing up for all eight. Either way, no workout will give you a greater high!
