Have you ever wanted to write a screenplay? This class will demystify all the elements of drama that unfold on the big screen. Learn to plot and plan your film. Learn structure, moral argument, character building, conflict, plot points, dialogue, and “visual writing.” The instructor will focus on these and many more issues, including marketing. Appropriate for all levels of experience.

Some of the finest plays and films were adapted from other sources and texts, each becoming a new work of art in its own right. In this class you will learn how to adapt a novel or short story for performance on stage. Michael Arve recently adapted (with Ed Scutt) Henrik Ibsen’s An Enemy of the People for the contemporary stage.
