PART TIME BOOKKEEPER

JOB SUMMARY:

The Bookkeeper inputs organization’s day-to-day transactions into Quickbooks. This position reports to the Executive Director and works collaboratively with staff, in particularly the Director of Adult Programs and the Financial Controller.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • B.A. in any related field (or pursuing degree)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Successful candidate will have a familiarity with accounting practices and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and creatively
  • Detail-oriented
  • Experience with QuickBooks preferred

About Our Internships

Writers & Books offers several internships for area high school and college students each year. Through arrangements with local schools and colleges, students can earn credit and gain first-hand knowledge of literary programming, editorial work, and arts administration through an internship at Writers & Books.

About Our Apprenticeships

Each summer we have openings for SummerWrite apprentices and interns who work directly with our SummerWrite youth camp program. The application period for SummerWrite positions opens in January and closes in March.
