Twisted Tales at Fringe No. 5
Local Author tells ‘out of school’ touching tales about her Convent years and her Irish ancestors
Rochester, New York Local author Elizabeth Osta will bring Twisted Tales to the 2016 First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival (Thursday, Sept. 15 – Saturday, Sept. 24) on Saturday, September 17th at 12:00 Noon at Writers & Books, 740 University Avenue. Tickets are $10 at rochesterfringe.com where more information is also available. Remaining tickets will be available at the door starting one hour before curtain.
This brand new act to the 2016 Fringe Festival, “Twisted Tales” is drawn from the author’s forthcoming memoir, “Saving Faith: A Convent Memoir” about her years as a Sister of St. Joseph and from her Irish historical novel, “Jeremiah’s Hunger,“(Borealis 2011). Highlights include the author’s years as a novice, as principal of two inner city parochial schools and the discovery during Irish travels of the details of her great-grandfather’s survival of the Great Irish Famine. The tales take some hilarious twists and sparks into mystery and miracles. “This unique blending of stories is bound to keep the audience engaged,” says News Anchor Maureen McGuire, WROC TV, Channel 8.
