Advanced Fiction: Stealing from the Masters

February 15, 2018 @ EST 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 7:00 pm on Thursday, repeating until March 22, 2018

$210.00

Ready to take your writing to the next level? In this intensive workshop, intermediate-level fiction writers will learn how to develop and apply more nuanced writing techniques. Through experimentation with plot, point of view, character development, diction, and dialogue, students will develop the skills to craft a unique and distinguished voice. In the first four sessions we will read and learn (steal from) the techniques of contemporary masters. In the final sessions we will workshop and revise original material. Students are expected to produce and revise a short story or book chapter (about 10 pages) during the course.
