“Mama exhorted her children at every opportunity to ‘jump at the sun.’ We might not land on the sun, but at least we would get off the ground.”
—Zora Neale Hurston
We’re thrilled to partner with the Delta Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority to showcase the literature and art of the Harlem Renaissance. Activities will be kicked off by a virtual community discussion of Zora Neale Hurston’s iconic auto-biography, Dust Tracks on a Road, led by celebrated storyteller Almeta Whitis on Saturday, August 21, 11 am. Please scroll down to register for this admission-free event.
