Building Fantastical Worlds

Have you ever wondered what it’s like living in a magical world, like that of Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia, or The Borrowers? How do we leave the world of the everyday and leap into fantastical realms? Better yet, how do we create our own? Come explore surprising worlds of all shapes and sizes and learn new perspectives from which to construct original, in-depth worlds in your creative writing. Building blocks for creating fictional worlds can include maps, “rules,” characters, illustrations, and the beginnings of stories. We’ll share our creations with family and friends on Thursday.
