Existential Poetry: Discovering Ourselves Through Poetry
April 16, 2016 @ EST 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
$35
Many great poems have existential themes; one example is “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost. Poems with existential themes speak to us because these themes are universal. We all wonder: How do we make meaning in our lives? How do we become our most authentic selves? How can we face the dark realities of life and not lose our appreciation of the good stuff? In this class we will explore poems with existential themes and create our own poetry based on those themes. This class is for you if you want to explore a fresh way of expressing yourself through poetry and if you are interested in learning more about how the words “existential” and “poetry” can intersect.
