Experimental Fiction

February 8, 2016 @ EST 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Writers often learn the rules of writing so that they understand how to break them, in intelligent and effective ways. This class will identify tropes and trends in literature, and see what happens when you change them. The result is a fresh look at writing, at experiencing media, and at being a creative person. Experimentalism is more than just being random and weird – it’s a way to explore the boundaries of creativity, and to expand them. And it’s fun. Topics include metafiction, perspective, surrealism, deconstruction, and plenty more!
