“We all—adults and children, writers and readers—have an obligation to daydream.” —Neil Gaiman
Good at daydreaming? Writing fiction is one place to apply your talent! You can experience the world through the senses of your main character, whether they are a mouse, a dragon, a shy middle-schooler, or someone never yet encountered in fiction. By learning the basic structures of a “Hero’s Journey” and using guided meditation to daydream each section into scenes, you will create your character’s journey into a world that will test their strength of character and transform them into the hero they carry within. The first morning we will work closely together to understand the process. Thereafter, you will be given prompts and have a lot of time to daydream and write. Please note that we will take breaks outdoors to refresh our brains.
