Flash Your Fiction (August 12 – August 16)

(MORNINGS: for ages 8-11) Flash fiction is a very short form of story writing. Every word is essential. These stories have all the parts: character, setting, and plot but in a nutshell. We’ll learn to hook the reader and then, through an unexpected twist, leave the reader wanting more. In writing our own pieces, we’ll analyze the power of words and learn what is and isn’t necessary for a good story. Editing will be a key component, as will feedback from the group.
