Hogwarts Academy | Ages: 8-14
July 24 @ EST 9:00 am - July 28 @ EST 4:00 pm
$412.00
Immerse yourself in the world of Harry Potter when Writers & Books’ three-story building is transformed into Hogwarts! Throughout the week, students will attend Herbology, Transfiguration, Divination, History of Magic, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions, and other classes. Hands-on activities will be accompanied by creative writing exercises to spur the imagination. You will be sorted, earn house points, play Quad Ball (formerly Quidditch), take a magical field trip into the muggle world, and write for the Daily Quibbler! “Professors” will also provide opportunities to delve in deeply to the texts, analyzing them for strengths and flaws, and exploring issues of identity and social justice. Every morning, all Hogwarts students will gather in the Great Hall for a special activity to start the day.
Spoiler Alert: Students must be familiar with all seven books/movies, as material from all seven years will be covered throughout the week. We cannot guarantee that there won’t be spoilers otherwise!
Note: Writers & Books neither condones nor agrees with J.K. Rowling’s transphobic social and political views. Our faculty, staff, and students choose to celebrate the magic of the Harry Potter series and claim the stories as our own through critical and creative exploration of the text. Trans Lives Matter.
