Memoir Workshop: Writing Scenes with Gail Hosking

July 16, 2022 @ EST 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

$40.00

Memoir is not a report or a resume–readers want good sentences, the author’s retrospective wisdom, and vivid, detailed scenes that are anchored in place and time. A successful memoir functions as a three-dimensional stage that keeps the reader watching and listening. Come to this workshop to write and to delve deep into memory and the visual. Surprise yourself with discovery.

Gail Hosking is the author of the memoir Snake’s Daughter and the poetry collection Retrieval. She holds an MFA from Bennington and taught at RIT for 15 years. Her essays and poems have been published widely and several have been anthologized. She is at work on a second  memoir and another book of poems.
