Poetry and the Elements of Craft

April 6, 2016 @ EST 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Poetry is an art and thus lives in the land of creativity, imagination, and originality. However, like any art, poetry has basic tools and vocabulary that must be mastered in order to be able to make creativity meaningful. In order to paint, one must first learn how to hold a brush and prime a canvas. In poetry, there are similar “basics” to be learned and mastered. Together we will write and critique new work. In addition to beginners, this class is a great refresher for intermediate poets looking to polish their work for publication.
