Querying Agents: Nonfiction

April 30, 2018

This course is for students who are interested in publishing book-length nonfiction (such as memoir, pop science, self-help, biography, and how-to). They will learn about the process of getting published, and how to begin that process by crafting a book proposal. We will discuss when to begin querying agents, how to know which agents are right for them, and what to expect on the road to publication.

Our online courses follow a message board format, with no set schedule. The instructor will post a lesson and assignment each week, and you’ll have the entire week to complete the material on your own time. When you post an assignment, you’ll receive feedback from the instructor and other participants. Online workshop registrants will receive an email shortly before the start date containing log-in instructions for our online platform.
