You’ve poured your heart and soul into your story or novel and you’re psyched to share it, but you know your manuscript needs editing. You can do a lot of editing on your own—if you understand how. Through editing examples, discussions, worksheets, and self-editing checklists, we’ll explore specific tools for revising and improving your manuscript at both the story arc and line-by-line levels.
Alex Sanchez has published eight novels with Simon & Schuster, including the American Library Association “Best Book for Young Adults” Rainbow Boys and Lambda Award- winning So Hard to Say. His novel Bait won the Tomas Rivera Mexican-American Book Award and the Florida Book Award Gold Medal. His full-length graphic novel for DC Comics You Brought Me the Ocean comes out in June. He has a master’s in counseling, worked for many years as a youth and family counselor, and now works as an author, teacher, and freelance developmental editor. www.AlexSanchez.com
