Tales from your Mind | Ages: 9-13
August 7 @ EST 1:00 pm - August 11 @ EST 4:00 pm
Free
Starting with two characters—one with your own personality and a character of your own invention—you will create the kind of stories you like, whether they are superhero adventures, fantasy, sci-fi, or realistic problem-solving stories. You’ll learn methods to keep readers glued to your story. and create poems or dramatic scenes that express your own feelings and thoughts or your characters’ inner lives. You will further flesh out your characters through drawing, photography, or collage. On the final day, we will show off our work with a display and presentation for family and library patrons. You will take home your story, and an anthology of the group’s writings will be put in the library for other young readers to explore! Breaks will involve games or outdoor activities.
