Unfolding Pleasure: The Sentence Experience
April 26, 2018 @ EST 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
|Recurring Event (See all)
An event every week that begins at 2:30 pm on Thursday, repeating until May 17, 2018
“Why should a sequence of words be anything but a pleasure?” Gertrude Stein asks. A pleasure to read and a pleasure to write. Learn how to experience your sentences from your readers’ points of view. If you don’t want to get them lost or bored, you have to make the right choices in diction, syntax and sentence structure. After all, Gertrude Stein didn’t say, “A sequence of words should always be a pleasure.”
NOTE CHANGE OF DATE: Final class will be held Monday, May 14 at 2:30-4:30pm
