Wednesday Night University: Creature Features

April 10 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein clearly struck a deeply responsive chord in her own day that continues to resonate 200 years later in the popular imagination, due in large part to its film adaptations. This audio-visual presentation examines the body of movies that compose the Universal (1931-1948) and Hammer (1957-1974) cycles of Frankenstein movies that established the conventions and iconography of the genre. Reading Shelley's novel before the session is highly recommended
