Telling our stories is how we make sense of our lives, how we hold memories, how we celebrate, grieve, and wrestle with what we don’t understand. Being a mother is complex anytime—and during this pandemic many layers have been added. Motherhood can be simultaneously exhausting, exhilarating, lonely, hysterically funny, maddening, bursting with love. In this workshop, we’ll gather together as mothers—virtually—to examine some examples of motherhood stories, then follow a series of prompts that will offer new tools to help you write your motherhood stories—whether for yourself, your family, or publication. On this Mother’s Day weekend, take this time for yourself and begin or continue to write your own motherhood narrative.
