Writing Motherhood: A Memoir Workshop
May 7, 2022 @ EST 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
$40.00
Virtual Event led by Sally Bittner Bonn.
Telling our stories is how we make sense of our lives, how we hold memories, how we celebrate, how we grieve, how we wrestle with what we don’t understand. Mothering is complex; it can be simultaneously exhausting, exhilarating, lonely, hysterically funny, maddening, bursting with love. We’ll examine some diverse examples of motherhood stories then follow a series of prompts that will offer tools to help you write your own stories—whether for yourself, your family, or publication. Most of all this generative workshop will hold space for your stories, allow them to shine in all their complexity, beauty, messiness, and truth.
Sally Bittner Bonn is a writer, performer, and teaching artist who promotes disability awareness through her writing (oscar-go.org).
