Writing the Labyrinth

June 12 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

New date: Wednesday, June 12
1 Session

The labyrinth is an ancient geometric pattern, usually circular, formed of intertwined spirals with a single path leading to the center. The path in is the same path out (unlike a maze, which has numerous choices of routes and is designed to confuse). Walking the labyrinth activates the problem-solving left brain. As a leading labyrinth researcher, writes, “A walker leaving the labyrinth is not the same person who entered it, but has been born again into a new phase or level of existence.” Meet us at Writers & Books for a brief introduction to the labyrinth and then a walk on the Chartres labyrinth at Asbury United Methodist Church down the road. After the walk we will return to W&B to respond to writing prompts about this experience and share our experiences with the group.
