In this class, writers will write about illness (mental, chronic, terminal, and/or invisible) as a means to explore the human condition. Through writing the visceral experience of the body and mind, interrogating what it means to be vulnerable, writers (whether patients, caretakers, or survivors), establish empathy by making art.
