Flash Fiction

Ages: 8-11 Flash fiction is a short form of writing in which every word is essential. These stories have a rhythm and foundation of character, setting, and plot. We’ll learn to hook the reader quickly and then, through an unexpected twist, leave the reader wanting more. In writing our own pieces, we’ll analyze the power of words and learn to be concise. Editing will be a key component, as will feedback from peers and the teacher.
