Carvin Eison is an internationally recognized filmmaker and an Associate Professor in the department of Journalism, Broadcasting and Public Relations at The College at Brockport, SUNY, and the General Manager of RCTV. He is member of the board of directors of the Frederick Douglass Family Initiatives, which has become a leader in the national movement to replace Confederate statues with statues that unite communities. He is the project director of the Re-Energizing the Legacy of Frederick Douglass which has placed statues across the City of Rochester.
