Laura Jackett uses various techniques to produce her artworks including Alternative Photographic Processes, Printmaking, Bookbinding and Computer Manipulation. Most recently, she discovered that her single photographs worked better at telling a story in an artists’ book format. Laura has exhibited and published her artwork nationally, earning a number of awards. Laura is an alumnus of SUNY Geneseo and Buffalo State College and completed her Master of Fine Arts in Imaging Arts at Rochester Institute of Technology. Laura has taught at various colleges including Ithaca, Wells, and Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. She has also facilitated many workshops at such places as The Smithsonian Institution, The Corcoran Museum of Art and The George Eastman House. She also holds New York State permanent teaching certification in Art K-12 and has taught in several local public schools.
