Georgia A. Popoff, of Syracuse, NY, is an editor, educator, arts-in-education specialist, and YMCA’s Downtown Writers Center Workshops Coordinator and faculty member. She has three poetry collections, the most recent, Psalter: The Agnostic’s Book of Common Curiosities, was released by Tiger Bark Press in 2015. Her fourth, Psychometry, is forthcoming from Tiger Bark in late 2019. She is coauthor of Our Difficult Sunlight: A Guide to Poetry, Literacy, & Social Justice in Classroom & Community, a book addressing the value of poetry in K-12 classrooms, a finalist for an NAACP 2012 Image Award. In 2017, she co-edited, The Whiskey of Our Discontent: Gwendolyn Brooks as Conscience and Change Agent (Haymarket Books), which won the Central New York Book Award in nonfiction and was a finalist for the Chicago Review of Books prized for nonfiction.
