Registration for Virtual SummerWrite 2021 is open!
SummerWrite enriches a community of readers and writers, ages 6-18, during weeklong camps that inspire creativity, confidence, curiosity, and self-expression. During this challenging time of social distancing, we hope your young reader or writer will find at SummerWrite respite, laughter, camaraderie, and enrichment. You’re encouraged to explore alongside your child or teen our expanded roster of culturally responsive and social justice-themed camps, as well as many recurring favorites.
Joy and creativity are at the heart of SummerWrite, a supportive space where students are encouraged to find and share their unique voices and embrace opportunities to finetune the mechanics of writing and other skills. Being involved in the creative process and the literary arts nurtures essential qualities of observation, critical thinking, imagination, and empathy. SummerWrite stretches our young people and asks them to grow in all these areas. We are here to plant the seeds for a lifetime of learning.
A popular program since 1985, SummerWrite annually engages nearly 600 young readers and writers in dozens of literary and intersectional enrichment camps.
